Review: While the idea we need to talk about Kevin is unusual, I was disgusted the direction of the film. While I know that a non-linear fashion film is popular these days, it is often abused - And here it is not used effectively. Too many times, the film jumps around at the time and it took me from experience. This film is also unnecessarily confusing - I'm so glad I knew that the act so I could understand what was going on. Moreover, film used very conscious amateurish style - for example, overuse of red (tomato fight, tomato stack of soup cans, paint) - the result of a sledgehammer symbolism. For me, the story was very strong on its own and does not need all these stars tricks.Tilda Swinton as the mother of a child who is seriously impaired. But her husband (John C.
