Review: Wow - that was a surprise. Trailer, I had to believe that, after the Battle of LA and oblivion would be more sad, action-packed, special effects-driven sci-fi blockbuster about an alien invasion - have failed to convey what the trailer is almost too long, you will also tasted almost as much humor as Groundhog Day. In order to invite comparison with Harold Ramis / Bill Murray classic, it was obvious because of the assumption of the time loop, but I never expected the extent to which these comparisons are indeed true and this movie really get into the same kind of comedy. Fortunately, all of a sudden better it.Most all, the main reason for the comic aspects of the first half of the film works so well, Tom Cruises' character, Major William Cage. He just cruises meatiest role since his turn as Frank TJ Mackey in Magnolia; Forget your usual stern cover boy characters: here he plays a completely different character? and it really seems to relish the opportunity. I wont give away too much, but be prepared to giggle and laugh when you see a new side of Tom Cruise.Yet although it is not nearly as grim as the trailer suggested, this is not really a comedy either. And it absolutely will not action-packed, special effects-driven sci-fi blockbuster about an alien invasion fights (trailer, you're right), although the funny bone and great characters. Speaking of which, most of the rest are also very good, especially gorgeous Emily Blunt. It seems that no matter what he does, he always comes across as genuine and real; here it succeeds in showing her character - a tough, experienced warrior full of metal, the other soldiers called a bitch (no kidding!) - just the right touch of vulnerability to her that much more likely. Bill Paxton and Brendon Gleeson is always a welcome addition to any film, and when they are big (as usual), character-wise, they are not doing anything here that you have not seen them do before. As far as sci-fi spectacle, allowed the trailer, they are pleased to announce that the film presents. The battle scenes beautifully arranged (do not blur Transformer-style, if you do nothing else), and there are moments when the intensity of the Anti resembles Omaha Beach landing in Saving Private Ryan - no gore, of course (after all, this is a PG- 13). Production design in general - | - alien design is very well done, although I would lie if I said it was something new and innovative way for the first Matrix (it is breathtaking, though) So, my decision. One of the ingenious (adjusted) in the original scripts (mega-budget) movie for a long time, and the best we've seen Tom Cruise edge of tomorrow, giggle and laugh almost as much as the drop of the jaw, and the fear of what Hollywood has to accept the Fun summer pastime of the project so far. 9 stars 10.Favorite Movies: http://www.imdb.com/list/ls054200841/
